Session Titles for Claude Code

Titles You Can
Actually Find

Get three title suggestions built from what actually happened in the chat, pick one, and the session gets renamed so /resume shows something useful.

Claude Code auto-titles every session the same generic way. Scroll through /resume and you can’t tell one from another.

The external problem

Every session opens with a generic, auto-generated title, so your /resume list is a wall of near-identical lines with the one you actually want buried somewhere in it.

The internal problem

You know which conversation you need. You just can’t tell which line is it, so you end up opening two or three before you find the right one.

What's at stake

A few minutes lost every time you go looking, and eventually you stop bothering and just start a new session instead of finding the old one.

Three steps: three titles, one picked, the session renamed.

Run it from inside the session you want named; it reads what already happened there and takes it from there.

01

Three Suggestions

It checks whether the session already has a title and factors that in. Then it reads back through the conversation and proposes three specific titles built from what actually got done, not a chronological recap.

02

Pick or Refine

Choose one of the three, or reply with feedback like “shorter,” “more specific,” or “mention X.” It generates three new options and keeps iterating until you land on one you want.

03

Rename It

The chosen title gets appended to the session file and confirmed. It shows up in your session list and on the next /resume, though the live window border won’t update until then.

Use it now. It's free.

Works on all platforms. Pick yours and get set up in under a minute.
